Installed in the staircase of Pispala School, this three-dimensional artwork offers a detailed depiction of a Pispala streetscape. Combining sculpture and painting, it condenses an interpretation of Pispala’s spirit, history, and present day. The large-scale work, measuring about two meters, is built from wood and MDF board, where carved and meticulously painted Pispala buildings merge into an urban landscape layered across time.
The work emphasizes locality and community, capturing the distinct character of Pispala. Four buildings are portrayed, each reproduced down to the smallest detail. Incorporated into the structures are drawings made by the school’s pupils.
